T-Shirt Design Contest

It is time for us to get new t-shirts to show off our LUG pride. In order to get the best design possible, we are going to have a design contest! Time to bust out your skills in the GIMP and Inkscape and put out the new design that everyone will want to wear for years to come.

Here are a few specifics:

  • What: LUG T-Shirt Design Contest
  • Deadline: October 31, 2006
  • Why: It is that time to make some new t-shirts
  • How: Send your submissions to jirwin at gallardj@onid.orst.edu. Any format that we can edit easily is acceptable. We will vote on submissions during the meeting on October 31, 2006

We will be taking pre-orders on the shirts for $20 at the meeting when we vote. I can't wait to see all of the new design ideas! Good luck everyone!

Monthly Meeting #1

It's our first meeting, and we have a lot of work to do. Seriously, we
need to move a bunch of furniture around and clean the place out. It's
keeping us from having other events, so our first monthly meeting has
to be this.

To make up for the lame event we will have pizza. Oh wait, we always
have pizza. Still, we will have pizza! Woo. Thanks Google!

  • Who: OSLUG
  • What: Cleaning party, woo woO
  • When: Tuesday, Oct 3rd, 2006, 6pm
  • Where: Penguins nest! (dear401)
  • Why: Because we wanted do something cool, but it was too embarrassing to invite the speaker to our room

Does anyone have a hand-truck? We could use 1 or 2. Also, if someone has
a broom and dust pan, that would be very helpful too.
