It was at this fair last year that I (StuartMcKim) first learned about the OSLUG. This is probably the easiest way for people to find out about us.

Greetings!

We are excited about your participation in the upcoming Where It's @ Beaver Community Fair on Friday September 29! Event set-up will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Booths should be set up by 10:45 a.m. If your group is not at your table by 10:45am, the table will be released to groups on the stand-by list. The fair times will be from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and must be taken down between 3:00-4:00 p.m. All vendors and groups must be out of the Memorial Union Quad by 4:00 p.m.

The event will occur rain or shine, so please prepare for inclement weather. Feel free to bring a canopy to protect your booth space. Canopies are available for rent at Special Occasions and Corvallis Rental for a minimal fee. You will also need to provide a table covering for your table. A map can be found at http://oregonstate.edu/soar/docs/quadmap2006.pdf

SOAR and Student Involvement staff, Chamber staff, sponsors, and some volunteers will be wearing Beaver Community Fair or CONNECT T-shirts. Please locate one of us if you have any questions.

Please remember not to sell OSU marked goods, textbooks or general reading books, or Coca-Cola products during the event. Coke Logos on signs are not allowed. Electricity will not be provided except for food vendors and no generators are allowed.

You will have either a 6 or 8-foot table depending upon availability. You will not be sharing your table with another group unless you have requested it.

Non Profit Groups Only: You will need to pick up a Load Unload Permit from the Visitor Information Booth located in the parking lot between 11th and 15th on Jefferson. Your vehicle window card will allow you to load or unload - NOT PARK - at the indicated site. YOUR PERMIT MUST APPEAR IN YOUR VEHICLE WINDOW. Volunteers will be present at load/unload sites around the Memorial Union Quad to direct you to your area. During the event exhibitors must park in the Reser Stadium lot - The university shuttle picks up at the parking lot and will shuttle you to the quad before and after the event.

Enjoy the day and this unique opportunity to access the OSU students and staff! If you have any questions please call Rick DeBellis at 542/737-4264 or email rick.debellis@oregonstate.edu if you have any questions about the event. We look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Rick DeBellis, Program Coordinator
